Developing Global Leaders
September 21, 2010
Seminar Overview
Are you a global leader? If so, how do you differ from those who lead in domestic contexts? Do you possess unique traits, competencies or behaviors? If so, how are these identified and developed to ensure that your leadership is effective across multiple cultural environments?
Organizations today function in increasingly more diverse and complex environments. Leaders, like you, are faced with challenges such as leading virtual teams, leading in multiple international locations, learning new cultural practices, and managing competing priorities and values of your domestic organization with those of the host country or client. While serving in these advanced roles, you, as a global leader, are expected to function effectively; yet few resources exist that provide guidance and insight for your development.
In this seminar, we will explore current research on culture and global leadership practice. We will also examine the practical competencies and approaches designed to develop global leaders in organizations.
Who Should Attend: This seminar is intended for professionals and leaders who are engaged in global or international practice. It is also intended for human resource professionals who need strategies for identifying proven competencies and practices needed to recruit and develop professionals and leaders in global practice for their organizations.
