Master's Degree
Waiver

Under certain circumstances, applicants to our master’s programs may request a waiver for the GMAT or GRE with a completed application.  The respective program’s director will consider, on a case-by-case basis, waiver requests from applicants who fall into one of the following categories.

  • The applicant has completed a graduate or professional degree (i.e., a degree beyond a four-year bachelor’s degree) from an accredited college or university;

    or

  • The applicant has an undergraduate GPA of 3.3 or higher from an accredited institution and a responsible progression of professional work experience evidenced by at least five years of leadership at the management or executive level.

To request an exam waiver, the applicant must submit a completed application along with a response to the following statement:

The GMAT and GRE exams measure areas of critical thinking, problem solving, and qualitative and quantitative reasoning.

Please reference, using tangible evidence, your experiences (professional and academic) where you have utilized these cognitive skills and how they will help you to be academically successful in this program.  Please note that this is not intended to be a narrative of your resume or transcripts.

Your answer should be no longer than 500 words in total length and should represent tangible evidence of your eligibility for a waiver. 

A GMAT or GRE waiver is not automatic for any applicant. 

Credentials will be evaluated and verified to ensure that they meet the minimum requirements for a waiver request when all official transcripts have arrived and a resume has been received. For questions about this policy or your eligibility, please contact our Admissions Office.
