Alumni from the Dallas area welcomed President Campo to several events over the weekend. On Monday, Dr. Campo taped an interview - in Spanish - with EnlaceTV, which is part of an international chain of Christian satellite communictions in Spanish.

President Campo delivers the morning message at Jungs Station Baptist Church in St. Charles, MO today at 10:30 a.m.   Later in the evening he will attend an alumni dinner in nearby Chesterfield, MO, at which he will welcome Regent Trustee Bill Federer and the evening's keynote speaker, Regent Distinguished Professor Gen. John Ashcroft.  Regent alum Sen. David Klarich will also address the gathering.

President Campo will deliver the commencement address tonight at Atlantic Shores Christian School. The 7:00 p.m. ceremony takes place at Atlantic Shores Christian Church in Virginia Beach.

President Campo is in Indianapolis, IN to attend the CCCU (Council of
Christian Colleges & Universities) New Faculty Institute, which is being held on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University. Dr. Campo will deliver the opening plenary address, which is titled "Faithful to the Text."  In his address, Dr. Campo will encourage new faculty to remain faithful to the text (which literally means "that which is woven") of their calling as Christian educators.

President Campo attended the Hispanic Education Summit, which was part of Liberty Tax Service's 2012 Annual Convention held in Virginia Beach.

May 18 - 25, 2012

President Campo is visiting Panama and Columbia to help raise Regent's profile internationally; to develop international partners; to recruit international students; and, to identify potential donors. Dr. Campo is also showing our support for Christian education internationally by visiting schools like the Thomas Jefferson School in Panama City. While in Medellin, Dr. Campo taped a segment on values-based education for Life Design TV.  This station is using Biblical principles to help shift this culture that was in chaos just one generation ago.

President Campo delivered the commencement speech today at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA (near Sacramento). Titled "The Mundane and the Eternal," he delivered the speech to the largest graduating class in the university's 72-year history.

President Campo was a guest on "NightSide with Dan Rea," tonight to discuss immigration issues. This radio show, which is broadcast live from WBZ-Radio in Boston, reaches 38 states. Originally scheduled for one hour, Dr. Campo was asked to stay for a second hour because of the number of callers who wanted to talk to him.

President Campo travels to Florida today to attend "The Awakening 2012/El Despertar 2012," sponsored by the Freedom Foundation.  While in Ft. Lauderdale today, he will tour the campus of Calvary Christian Academy and meet with representatives from Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale.

Today, President Campo welcomes to the campus 99 fifth-grade students from Camelot Elementary School in Chesapeake, VA.  Accompanied by their principal, Dr. Karen Cooper-Collins, a Regent School of Education graduate,

the students will participate in one of Regent's "Future College Student Day" events.  The initiative, created by President Campo, is designed to encourage students to begin thinking about attending college early on.

President Campo greeted approximately 500 educators this morning at the Annual COABE (The Commission on Adult Basic Education) conference being held in Norfolk.  Regent School of Education associate professor Dr. Don Finn is chair of this year's conference.  Dr. Campo also had the pleasure of introducing the conference's keynote speaker, bestselling author Jon Gordon.

Dr. Campo also spoke at today's meeting of the Chesapeake Rotary Club.  He spoke about altruism in a talk entitled "For Goodness' Sake."

Along with 50,000 other fans, President and Mrs. Campo went to Vodocom Stadium in Pretoria to watch a Rugby match between the Bulls and the Reds.  The Bulls "crushed" the Reds 61 - 8.

President and Mrs. Campo visited the AIDS clinic at Nazareth Hospital outside Nairobi today, following by a visit to The Joy House Orphanage in Kenya. President Campo was interviewed on HOPE-FM Radio today, the Christian station with the most listeners in Africa.  He discussed leadership and the proposed leadership Ph.D. marketed to African students.  Dr. Campo also toured the campus of Pan Africa Christian University, met with several members of the university's leadership team and signed an MOU pertaining to the proposed leadership Ph.D.
